kokhe danda treak

A beautiful 2-day trek from Pokhara to Kokhe Danda via Banthati and Taprang. The journey combines a scenic jeep ride, forest trails, stone-paved paths, and breathtaking Himalayan views. The highlight was reaching Kokhe Danda in time to enjoy the sunset with views of Machhapuchhre, Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and other mountain ranges. The peaceful surroundings and simple homestay experience made the trip especially memorable.
Kokhe Danda is a great short trek for anyone looking for a peaceful mountain escape from Pokhara. The trail is manageable, although some sections with stone-paved stairs can be tiring. The sunset and mountain views from Kokhe Danda are definitely worth the effort. The accommodation and food are very basic, so don’t expect luxury facilities. The homestays mainly provide simple dal bhat and tarkari. If you want meat, it’s better to carry it yourself and ask the homestay to cook it. Overall, it’s a great experience for travelers who enjoy nature, simple local stays, and less-crowded destinations.
